How to clean the oil circuit of the screw air compressor properly?
The oil circuit system of a screw air compressor is like the vascular system of a human, we need to make sure it is smooth, if the oil circuit of the air compressor fails, the air compressor will not work, therefore, we need to clean the air compressor regularly to ensure the normal operation of our air compressor.
Analysis of the causes of failure
Oil-injected screw air compressors are all using a cooling lubricant closed cycle, operating at a high temperature for a long time (generally at 75 - 88 ℃), so there may be different degrees of oil carbon, scale, acidification, and other deterioration phenomenon. Due to carbon accumulation and other reasons, it may lead to oil circuit components (such as solenoid valves, temperature control valves, etc.) damage, oil circuit blockage, poor heat transfer, and other failures.
the oil system maintenance content
(1) disassembly and inspection of the oil break solenoid valve and diaphragm.
(2) disassemble and clean the temperature control valve and components.
(3) disassembly and cleaning of the oil circuit, fittings, joints, etc.
(4) heat exchanger disassembly and inspection, immersion cleaning.
Such as water-cooled models, and the application of scale cleaning agent soaked water system.
the maintenance effect
The operating temperature can be significantly reduced and can ensure normal operation in a higher environment.
cleaning agent and use
Oil circuit cleaning: use a special carbon cleaning agent, add 1 gallon of carbon cleaning agent concentrate to every 10 gallons of compressor oil in each machine, first make sure enough compressor lubricant is discharged so that the carbon cleaning agent can be added to the storage tank. Then run the compressor continuously for 40 to 60 hours. To prevent the redeposition of suspended contaminants, when the oil is still hot, drain the lubricant inside the compressor to achieve good results.
Water line cleaning: special scale cleaner is used, which needs to be heated and soaked for use.
